Del Oro L Pattern Participants - Loomis, CA Portrait Session
This past spring semester, Del Oro had it's first set of competitors in the L Pattern Competition in as long as anyone can remember. L Pattern was a division of the Winter Competitions for the NCBA bracket (along with the Winter Guard & Winter Percussion Groups) and my sister was one of the three competitors for the school. Once the season was over, we got together on two different occasions to get some portraits to commemorate the season for these three girls. Each of them did an awesome job, and have plans to compete again next year.

This upcoming fall season, Megan will take over the honor of being Drum Major for the 2012-2013 year. This spring she competed in just the field conducting portion of the competition, but did an awesome job! I'm sure she's going to be a fantastic leader over the next school year. For the second group of portraits, we met up with Mary & her parents a few days later at a small little area that I've always loved to use for portraits. The weather was fantastic that evening, and these two did great! Mary & Aileen both competed in the Military part of the competition as well as the field conducting. Mary placed first on multiple occasions, even at the final championship competition! These three girls really did do a phenomenal job for their first year in a competition they had only ever watched before. I can't wait to see how they do next spring with a year of experience under their belts. At championships, they all placed extremely well in both field conducting & military (first, second AND third went to these three just for the field conducting portion!) and I'm excited to see how well they do the next year!
