Sacramento Perfect Wedding Guide - Summer 2012

Guess who has her first Sacramento print advertisement? That's right, THIS girl!  I'm excited to see this finally in print form, now that it has been discussed & debated for several weeks now.  I met a few people from the Perfect Wedding Guide team at the bridal shows that I did, and they were super helpful when it came to whatever questions I had.  Best of all?  It's free to all of the brides out there!  Be sure to pick one up, and check it out.  Page 165 is super awesome of course ;) but there is so much in this little book in case you are looking for one specific vendor, or all of them!

C & R's Moss Court Wedding - Granite Bay, CA

The last Saturday of June, I was invited by Marcie of Marcie Lynn Photography to assist and third shoot for a wedding that was being held locally.  Of course, I couldn't say no to that offer, and joined her.  The day was hotter than the past few had been, but nothing was going to get this gorgeous bride down.  We met up with her and her lovely ladies at a home in Los Lagos, and everything was running smoothly.  The girls were looking fabulous and were enjoying the day.  We kicked things off with some detail shots of her personal items, and then the fun began!
While the bride was upstairs getting her makeup done, a few of her bridesmaids were downstairs practicing their dance moves in the kitchen.
A few finishing touches were happening, so some of the bridesmaids and I slipped outside to do a portrait or two. These girls looked fantastic in their dresses!
Before we knew it, we were heading off to the venue! The bride and her gals got tucked away inside so the groom had no chance of seeing her, and we began to photograph some of the details of the reception.
The guys began to line up, and then it was time to get these two married!
After the ceremony, Marcie headed up the family portraits. Once those were complete, she snuck the couple away for the bride and groom portraits and I headed off to the reception across the way to capture some candids of the guests
The bridal party was announced, and then the couple headed right in to a fantastic choreographed first dance. The bride is a dance instructor herself, and she did an excellent job putting this together. Of course her sister couldn't let that be the end of it, so during her speech, the entire bridal party broke out in a flash mob!
The groom shared a dance with each of the special moms in his life. The night was topped off with cake, bouquet & garter tosses before the dance floor was opened for the rest of the evening. A fantastic ending to a gorgeous couple and their wedding day
Another big thanks to Marcie who let me tag along with her and her other second shooter that day! I had a fantastic time working along side her, and I learned a lot!

H & R's Saluti Cellars Wedding - 2nd Shooter - Somerset, CA

Back in June, I had the honor of being asked to accompany another photographer out to Somerset for a fabulous wedding.  I met up with Tammy of Kissed by Tammy on location at the Saluti Cellars site, and boy was it GORGEOUS out there!  The weather was fantastic, the skies were gorgeously clouded (which unfortunately didn't wait around long) and once the bride got there, I knew it was going to be an awesome wedding day.  Tammy and I started off by photographing details here and there as the ladies got ready  I always have such a hard time narrowing down my wedding day images for blog posts, so enjoy!

The bride and groom both got ready in the very same guest house, with just one door keeping them from seeing each other! I headed through and was able to spend some time with the guys as they got ready for the big day.
We started off with the groomsmen photos, and once we got them tucked back inside and the ladies were ready to go, it was their turn to strut their stuff.
Before we knew it, it was time for these two to get married!
After family formals, we headed down to the gorgeous grassy area for some bridal party portraits, bride & groom portraits, and then the reception was able to get on it's way!
Wasn't their cake super fun? Love it!
I couldn't thank Tammy enough for having me along as her second shooter for the day.  I had a fantastic time working with her and getting to see how she does things :)  Best wishes to the fantastic newlyweds.  You guys were awesome to work with, and I wish you well on your journey together!
