Megan & John's Bay Area Lovebirds Session - San Francisco, CA

Last week you saw part one of Megan and John's Lovebird Sessions, and today I get to bring you part two!  A little over a week ago now, I headed out to hills (no joke there) of San Francisco where these two are currently living to check out some pretty cool areas.  We started in the Potrero Hill area where a friend of hers hand an engagement session at this fantastic "drop off" spot that showcases the city in the background.  We had a little bit of fog that day, but the view was still amazing as ever!  And i'm still super convinced Megan needs to be my personal fashion guide.  Cutest outfits EVER!
LOOOOOOVE this one. Such a photogenic couple, that's for sure.
After our time on the hill, avoiding the occasional car, and a stop at The Legion of Honor (those to come later) we finished up at Baker Beach under the Golden Gate Bridge.  The view was fantastic and the weather was just right.  Couldn't have planned for a better day!
Love, love, love it!
And I'' be wrapping things up with yet ANOTHER favorite. These two make it so hard to choose!
Be sure to keep an eye out next week for part 3. You WON'T want to miss out on those ones!

Megan & John's Penryn Ridge Lovebirds Session - Penryn, CA

I have to say that I'm pretty lucky when it comes to the friends I've gained over the years.  They are all awesome in their own ways, and I guess that's why I keep them around!  Megan is no exception to that group of friends.  When I decided to try and do a little updating for my 2013 portfolio, Megan was the first to reply and help me on my quest to bring fresh new faces to all you lovely readers.  Megan and John have been married a few years now and boy were they cute as ever!  We headed out to this awesome area in Penryn (which I never knew existed) and even with the sun blazing down on us, I think we got some fantastic photos!
Totally adorable, am I right?
The area, lovingly referred to as looking like Africa, had these crazy awesome looking trees all over. So yeah, we had to make use of one. These two climbed in to that tree like champs!
As we headed back down the hills to the car, we had to go back over the train tracks. And of course, those train tracks needed to be involved!
Basically, these next two photos I love. Like, super adorable really really love.
SO much fun hanging out with these two... and you'll have to stay tuned for more from our AWESOME San Francisco adventures yesterday. You won't want to miss out on those either!

Julia & Matt - Married 01.09.2011

it started in the fall of 2002. i was a freshman in high school, starting out at a new school with new people to meet. megan, julia (who tell the story that they met when they were born in the same hospital, on the same day. megan rolled over and said "hi, i'm megan" and of course julia said back, "hi, i'm julia") & i formed our little "mickey mouse club" trio because of band. yep. we were band kids. somewhere along the high school years, megan and i placed a bet, as to who would get married first. well, megan lost that bet summer of 2009 and now owes me dinner. julia and i had joked about placing a bigger bet between the two of us as to the next to get married... something like a trip to disneyland or something. well. i'm kicking myself now because i totally could have gotten dinner AND a complimentary disneyland trip. haha. who would have thought. anyways, tonight was julia's reception for her and her new hubby matt, and she looked stunning. her dress was exactly what i imagined she would have worn. simple & lacy with a vintage flair.
cute little cake with personalize little topper peoples. the poor little "matt" cake topper kept taking a nose dive in to the cake.
and how can you not love the adorable bird cage card holders at weddings? especially when they're so well meshed with the whole look of the wedding. julia & matt gave out bird seed in the shape of hearts as their favors. too stinkin cute.
for matt & julia's first dance, everyone was given a lighter to click on and hold above their heads. i learned that it is a difficult task to do with your left hand while holding a camera in the right. enough of that, do you see the gorgeous that is julia's dress?
and for everyone that knows julia personally... well... does this really need anymore words?
julia & matt - thank you so much for inviting me to your reception. i had a great time, and wish you both the best for the years to come. like you told megan on her wedding, and she reminded you today, it's not about your wedding being the perfect day, its about every day for the next 50 year being filled with perfect days. :)
