May's Sneak Peeks & Blog Post Previews - Northern California Wedding & Portrait Photographer
Apparently, I let this month slip away from me as far as blogging goes. Between birthday celebrations, bridal appointments & everything in between, I seem to have lost track of the month of May. I can't believe that tomorrow is June, and the year is nearly half over! Well, to tide you over until then, here are a few selections from what went down this past month, and the future blog posts that are going to happen in the coming weeks. I promise!

Just hang tight, I'll be blogging again before you know it!

2011 Photographer Favorites - Families
A big portion of what I love to do photography wise involved the family portrait side of things. When I'm not off working one wedding or another, I absolutely love spending one on one time with a family group creating portraits for them to display in their home for everyone to see. I often hear the statement "We haven't done portraits since my youngest was 6 months old, and she's 15 now!" Believe me, it happened with our own family too. There is no need for a special occasion for family photos, but instead should be used to celebrate and document where you were at that point in time with your kids. They'll be able to look back in years to come and see their WHOLE family in their portraits, not just mom or dad because the other was behind the camera taking the photo. My advice for 2012? If you haven't made time to have a family portrait done in the recent years, make a goal for it! I would LOVE to help document memories for each and every one of you :)

Krueger Family Portraits - Rocklin, CA
Back at the tail end of September, I recieved a call from an area code I was unfamiliar with. Hesitant, as usual, I answered the phone to be completely surprised. Kim was calling me with the search for a photographer to do a set of family photos for them the upcoming weekend for her parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Their original photographer had cancelled, and somehow she came across my name. Not just any typical family photo session, but a group of 16 ranging from the "orginals" all the way to the great grandkids. Needless to say, I was VERY excited. The following Sunday I loaded up stools and a few chairs from my kitchen and headed out to a local park in Rocklin to meet up with Kim and her crew. Everything ran so smoothly, the day wasn't overwhelmingly hot, and their outfit color range worked so well!

We also took the time to do a few family photos for the smaller family groups. These little ones were SO easy to work with. No tears, no sad faces, nothing!
This group photo would be the reason why I informed all of Facebook that they should have a 20x24 minimum of their family on their wall! It arrived in the mail and I instantly fell in love with the size of it. It was more than just a photo. At that point, it felt like a piece of wall art.
Looking to have your extended family photo done for the holidays? Send me an email or give me a call! I absolutely love working with large groups! They're totally up there neck & neck with my love for wedding photography :)

2010 was quite a year! i decided to go through all my blog entries, and all my facebook posts, and see exactly what i had the joy of creating this year. take a look with me, and maybe you'll see some familiar faces :) enjoy!
in the past year, i photographed...
five fantastic family groups
seven adorable girlies in banana cheriƩ pettiskirts
eight awesome individuals
six super volunteers who played dress up to help me out :)
four cool couples
two feet and four hooves (aka. my first not cat/dog pet session)
two of my favorite littles
and one engagement session turned to my first full day wedding within a week of each other. putting these all together, 2010 seemed more eventful than i thought! and with that said, i'd love to include YOU in my 2011 retrospect. its never too early or too late! hope you had a safe and happy new year celebration, and i wish you all the best in the year to come!
