What an eventful week this has been! The weekdays alone lent themselves to a bit more craziness than usual. Tuesday was the first cake smash session I have done in years, and Thursday brought print picking up and delivering. Friday I recieved the AWESOME enlargements for my family group of 16, and then there was Saturday. It started off with a dance demo out in North Highlands, followed by the wedding of Mikaela & Tommaso in Sacramento, and then back to Loomis for the annual Band Spectacular competition. They did their annual light show performance (now only done at Spectacular & the Homecoming football game) and it was just as fun to watch as it was to participate those years ago! Now that Saturday has been survived, it's now on to editing, editing, editing so that the blog can keep rolling on!

Fall-ing for You - 2011 Engagement Session Contest
My first engagement session giveaway was pretty great (if i do say so myself) and I couldn't have asked for an awesomer (more awesome? whatever...) couple to win! (Monica and James shout out here!) So with the recent decision to tweek my business in to becoming more focused on weddings & engagements, I decided it was time to have a second go at a fun contest! With the weather changing, it couldn't be any more appropriate to title this one the "Fall-ing for You" Giveaway. Instead of just doing the engagement session and calling it done, this time around the winner will also recieve a "his & hers" set of accordion albums! I told you I was in love with those cute little books. But here's the catch. In order to get more entries to win, you're going to have to work for it!
Required Entries:- "like" Freeze Frame on Facebook and leave a comment below saying you did so
- Fill out the following survey and email it with your favorite snapshot of the two of you to me at photogbyem@gmail.com
1. Name:
2. Fiance's Name:
3. How you Met:
4. Proposal Story:
5. Planned Wedding Date:
6. You knew your fiance was the one when:
7. If your engagement session could take place anywhere in the Northern California region, where would you choose? If you can't think of an exact location, what style of location would you choose? (urban, rustic, beachy, etc)
8. If you and your fiance were a cartoon character duo, who would it be, and why?
Bonus Entries:
- Put the following in your facebook status "I'm Fall-ing for (fiance's name) even more each day, and would love to win an engagement session with @Freeze Frame - Photography by Emily" (make sure you "tag" me, or else I won't be able to see the post!)
- Refer 5 new friends, and make sure they mention YOUR name so I know who sent them! Send 10 friends on over, and you'll get 3 entries instead of 1.
-Follow me on twitter @photogbyem and tweet me hello so I know you're out there listening! (maybe I'll update it more if I have friends!)
See? Not too painful, right? The contest goes until October 29th (a little over two weeks!) so make sure you get your entries in asap! Winner will be drawn by October 31st, so make sure to tell your friends and family, and anyone who has a ring on their left hand and hasn't said "i do" about this giveaway.p.s. anyone that enters will get a treat in the end, since I don't want anyone to go away without something :)

New Products - Mini Accordion Albums
The first time I ever saw these little books, I fell in love with the idea. Not many people carry around wallet sized photos any more, and these are a great way to bring them back! I went with the idea of couples/engagement sessions for my samples, but the possibilites are endless. These books are 3x3 in size, and can be filled with some of your favorite photos from your session.
An internal magnetic closure holds them shut securely, but at the same time makes them easy to open and show off to friends.
They can come with a wide variety of covers, from fabric and leather to photographs like I chose. If you were out in the middle of a desert (who knows why!) and wanted to show off your recent engagement session with your love, you're good to go!
I'm planning on revamping my engagement session packages at the start of the year, and they will be sure to include a "his & hers" set of these cute little books (since we know HIS favorite silly photo isn't always the same ranking as HER favorite romantic photo of the two of them)And that engagement session contest I mentioned on facebook? Don't worry, it's coming soon! By soon, I mean check back Thursday morning!

"let's do 52" - wk40
Something about getting mail makes me happy. Not just email - since I get more advertisements and junk in that than real people talking to me - but actual open from the envelope mail. This week, the mail came and something that should have come ages ago was finally here! My diploma finally came, and I could now rest easy knowing that college was actually done with! Hopefully this next week will bring some exciting mail as well. Who wants to be pen pals? :)

Britt & Nathan Engagement Session - Loomis, CA
We're back again with part two of this super great couple's engagement session! One thing that I somehow failed to mention in the previous post for these two is that they are both in different branches for the US Military. Nathan is in the Marine Corp, while Britt is currently off in basic training for the Army. Their dedication to each other as well as this country is amazing, and I feel extremely lucky to work with them. We kept working around the same location with their second outfit, and everything meshed together super great!

Incase you somehow missed her ring in the last post, check. it. OUT! Every girl needs a good piece of bling, and Nate did a great job!
Britt & Nate - I am so glad to have worked with you for your engagement session. The love you have for each other shines through and anyone would have to be crazy to miss it. I cannot WAIT for your June 2012 wedding. I might just start a count down on my calendar for it :)

Hailee & John Reagan Beach Wedding - South Lake Tahoe, CA
Another voyage to Lake Tahoe with Doug, and this time was a whole new ballpark of shooting for me! We started off at Reagan Beach for the ceremony, and then crossed in to Nevada for photos and their reception at the Edgewood Golf Course. The whole area was amazing, and Hailee and John were so much in love with each other, there was no denying it!

"let's do 52" - wk39
Yeah, I know that 2010 is SO last year, but after putting it off, and putting it off, and putting it off... you get the idea... I finally got around to ordering my book of 365 photos! I had a super deal from blurb that I couldn't pass up, and less than a week later, it showed up on my doorstep. You can tell it's mine just by the cover, can't you? ;) Here is a peek inside to some of my favorite memory pages!Kitties! Yep, last year we had SEVEN cats - eight if you count the outdoor late night "feed me" cat - so it worked perfectly for an entire week of photos. Although, they aren't exactly the greatest models... As the saying goes, it's like herding cats.
Two of the weeks from Kasey's visit home from Germany. Also when we went and saw Toy Story 3 at the Drive-Ins.
If any section of the book was "me" in three topics or less, this would be it. Photography, Chipotle, and Oreo Sundaes. Okay, I'm more than three words, but this is a pretty delicious set of photos. The photo of text is an exerpt from a biography on Mr. Rogers. I knew I always liked that man :)
