"let's do 52" - wk30

I realized once I left for Reno this past Friday evening, that I had not done anything to get the "let's do 52" blog post ready for the end of the week (aka saturday). Well, two days later, here it is! I've spent this week doing a handful of things photographically, but I was also at a loss to get back to my crafting roots. I decided to embark on a project to keep me doing something that was not requiring staring at a computer or television, and also to revive my sad little craft blog. A project was formed, and last week I had it going pretty well for a few days. Hopefully even with all things that are up and coming this week (portrait sessions on tuesday & saturday plus second shooting again in Tahoe with Doug on Sunday) I will be able to get SOMETHING done.

Friday Feet - July 29th, 2011

amy - "My garden is doing so well!! I have a cucumber about 10" long!! And my bush beans are blooming too! can't wait to try a home grown vegetable, grown by me! And I got camo flip flops. Lol!"

emily - "last day of state fair performances, hauling costumes, and helping the kiddos. it was WAY too hot, that's for sure. time for things to just cool down a bit... that's for sure!"
jenny - "spending time with my oldest kitty, Xena, before work. She may be he reason our house has a flea infestation but she's still awesome"

kasey - "Took a very restless Papa on a evening walk and made him a very happy Papa! We've had humid weather and rolling thunderstorms, so it was nice to catch a break and get out!"

New Look, Same Great Taste!

Manila envelopes just weren't cutting it for me anymore, and I was also wanting something that would be a bit more sturdy when prints were needed to be shipped to clients. I took the plunge to search out and find something that made my prints feel like opening a present! With the guidance of fellow photographers in one of my forums, I found the folders and paper ribbon online, and I'm SUPER excited to mail them off whenever anyone orders something. Just a little bit more fun to go along with the m&m's and buttons :)

As you saw in yesterday's "friday feet" post, I spent my past weekend up in higher elevation than usual. Every year when one of my siblings goes up to the Donner Mine Music Camp, two things happen. The first the camp photo, usually taken by my dad, but this year I took the reins and risked my life on the ladder in the mosquito marsh. Secondly, we have been taking our christmas card picture there for I don't know HOW long, but it is a tradition that has yet to be stopped. I took advantage of the flooded bridge to take my friday feet picture, where my ever so kind younger brother chose to mock me for doing so. So here I am, paying it back to him... in the most loving sisterly way possible with this lucky shot of a picture before he made a break for it. Apparently he's a changed person since high school, becoming a car buff and wearing hats to advertise what he's driving (once it is reassembled) :)

Friday Feet - July 22nd, 2011

amy - "Working today. Waiting for my clients mom to show up. So far she's ten minutes late. Other than that woman, my day has been pretty productive!"

emily - "a weekend in the mountains began with second shooting on saturday and then the annual donner mine music camp photo on sunday with a break in between to sleep in my bed. the bridge at the creek was flooded over this year, and the water was freezing cold!"

jenny - "This week Emily and I went to the bar for open mic night with some friends. One made up an alias, the other got sat on. Also, the shoes I'm wearing were only 7 dollars and are my new favorites!! "kasey - "Home from the states. Papa dog seems happy to have us back, and we can't help but play constantly with him. Good to be home again."

Well, I'm off to tahoe today to second shoot a wedding with Doug Miranda. I think by saying that I am pretty stoked about it would be an understatement. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to shoot along side him this weekend, and I will certainly be telling you all about it soon! Friday Feet - July 15th, 2011

amy - "It's nice just having my dogs again! Rue and I are preparing to go make sure all of the hundreds of screws in the deck are not sticking up so that we can sand it this weekend. Whew!"

emily - "gearing up for some second shooting this weekend by watching jasmine star's last creative live workshop. love love love her! :)"jenny - "My feet are exhausted after a week full of working. Tonight they're ready for bed after a night of harry potter madness"
kasey -"At Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the week. Today is our last whole day, tomorrow we pack up and leave. Every year we come here with the family, and every year I get a picture of my feet in the Atlantic Ocean. However, the internet here is awful slow, and I was unable to upload the physical picture. So, here is a picture of the picture on my camera, via my little sister-in-laws phone. Only a few more days in the United States!"
