"let's do 52" - wk 35

A photo that, of course, really had nothing to do with ANYTHING, but hey... it is what it is! And when a super adorable almost 7 year old says "you should take a picture of that goose" well, I couldn't help but comply with her suggestion! I'm happy to say that with the push and inspiration of some of my photographer friends I met in Vegas last February (Kelliana, Alej & Katie) I am working up to taking the plunge to have a more professional image for the Freeze Frame branding! I will make everyone VERY aware of it when it happens, so I'm sure you won't miss it ;) This self made logo has served me well since 2009, but the times are a changing, and especially after this week and seeing my next two weeks broadcasted on my calendar, I feel that good things might be coming my way! So stay tuned for new blog posts with sessions in the coming weeks, including that almost seven year old who is a very persuasive little one!

Banana Cherié Skirts & Accessories

With a name like "brennan" you just have to think "she sounds like a cutie" right? well of COURSE she is! i met up with brennan and her mom sarah over at the king road park in loomis for a short pettiskirt shoot, and she knocked these shots out like they were nobody's business! and the pigtails? super cute! every girl has to rock pigtails in their life (seriously... i'm 20 something and i still attempt it every so often. its one of the rights of being a girl!) and brennan looks cute as ever! ok. enough of me. take a look at her :)candy corn. in the park. you cannot resist. is my hypnotism working for you? no? okay. more brennan for you. ok. now with the next ones... i could NOT just pick one or two. so lucky you gets to see four super cute pictures of super cute brennan in some super cute pink zebra print. did i say super cute enough times for you? didn't think so :)i love a good on the tummy shot. my portrait studio days have trained me well :)thanks so much brennan and sarah for coming out and playing dress up in the park. you looked adorable as ever! and there you have it! the finale of my monday banana cherié pettiskirt shoots! now, i know what you're thinking... you're thinking "but emily, when will i see more pettiskirt posts from you?!" and to that i say, soon my dears. i have one shoot tomorrow morning with an adorable one year old (yes! one year olds can be pettiskirt-ified too!) and possibly one more shoot before saturday's craft fair. and remember, if you're looking for a skirt and bow set of your very own, email lisa at carrollcousincreations@gmail.com, and tell her emily sent you! p.s. pettiskirt offer coming soon. very very soon :)

Aileen - 14 yr photos

my sister turned the big 1-4 this past march. we have been randomly goodwill shopping and finding her some dresses, and since this pink one was such a hit, i made her dress herself up, and go down to the park for some photos. oh, and a couple other outfits as well as her oboe for a prop... aaaaand her crazy cat mushu... who walks on a leash. ah, i do miss my days of TPP with photographing animals more often. i defn. got more accustomed to working with dogs that way. haha. although, i think mushu was more excited than she was. here is a small sampling of some of the photos :)he's such a snotty looking cat in some of these. just goes along with that quote about dogs having owners and cats having staff... at least he didn't go cross eyed! ;)

prom 2010

ok, i must start by saying WHEN did my brother become old enough to go to prom?! i swear that i JUST had my junior prom like, a month ago! haha. anyways, as usual with the band kids (same as when i was there, same as it will be in years to come) they traveled in flocks to social outings. the two girls were from the high school colorguard, and the two boys are in the winter percussion program. we had a blast taking photos at the park before they went to dinner, and i hope they had an amazing time at dinner (olive garden... YUM) and the dance (not having to wait in line for ONE photo like i had to my junior year). Here is a fun sampling of the different groupings and locations we shot around the park :)

oy. some reason blogger is being a hater, and not letting me show you all the photos... apparently its a "bad request". shame on you blogger for denying these photos.
for the time being, you can view them here on my facebook page.
or even here on my website.

February Lorelai

last month i had the little one for a day in the park. we did some surprise-ish valentines photos for her mom & dad, plus some fun playing ones in a separate outfit. boy, i love kohls when it comes to shopping for wee one clothing. super cute, and not pricey AT all. Lisa gets these bows special made, and the one she brought just matched perfectly with her outfit. oh, and she took a definite liking to my pink holga. i thought i would NEVER get that thing back! she's my kind of girl, that's for sure. here is a sampling of photos from the day.
