family session

a couple weekends ago, i photographed alexis and her family out at beal's pointe, which is one of the entries to folsom lake in granite bay. alexis was a freshman when i was in high school, and i got excited when she came to me, asking about doing this as a mother's day present for her mom this year. the white and denim was a great choice, and the lake had so many fun settings, just on ONE side that we walked down. i imagine if we had gone around the whole area, we could have been there for HOURS shooting :) more pictures are avalible for viewing over on facebook for now.

new summer promotion :)

june is here, and its time for a new promotion! so here it is!
buy one session - possibilities are endless! families, friends, pets, children, etc. you name it, it can probably be considered a session :)
get your second session half off! - you can either use this as a break down session (i.e. your family group, and then do just the kids) or give it to a friend as a gift! someone have a new baby? someone about to graduate? again, endless possibilities!
This will make your first session $55, and your second session just $27.50
there are only a few "catches"
- only one half-price session per full priced session.
- once session fee is paid, it is not refundable.
- groups larger than 5 faces will still need to add $5 per additional head.
- session fee only covers the time of the portrait session, plus the post editing of the images... it does not include any final sheet purchasing. purchasing by the sheet is $8 for (1) 8x10 (2) 5x7 or (8) wallets.

month gone by

its an update WAY overdue.
but here's a sampling of some shoots i've done over the past month or so :)
i just finished editing jessica & adam's wedding from friday before (they were on top priority since they leave the usa to live in italy where he is stationed with the navy june 6th)

and this is just what i have set in stone!
i have a few more brides as well as a family of 3 i've been emailing with and will hopefully have something set up in the coming weeks. last night i attended my first photography workshop with monica, of studio kyk in roseville. here's a behind the scenes view of her showing us all how she shoots. it was so worth it for me to go. i've got some new business ideas up my sleeve that i can hopefully put in to action for jessica&adam's wedding in may :)

bekah&desi

a sampling of what was taken over easter weekend at grandma's house. i'm so bummed it was raining outside, but we got some okay shots with the backdrop indoors. i'm having color correction issues with these photos for some reason, so please forgive me if they seem a bit intense.

sneak peek :)

tonya was a blast to work with. she took direction well, and was very comfortable in front of the camera. we walked around in old town roseville, and had some fun :) tonya is a hairstylist that works at papillion salon off of north sunrise in roseville. if you ever need an awesome and super friendly hair stylist, she's your gal! more bridals to come soon
